Chastity Violenti
As a cast, the Fructose Samurai all incorporate a punk aesthetic into their looks. Chastity Violenti's personal style is a mixture of punk & prep, which can be seen in her hairstyle, makeup, and clothing choices.
What I find most intriguing about mixing punk and prep together is that, in many ways, the two styles are complete opposites. Punk is about rebellion, individuality, and danger. A movement with roots in the uncontrolled emotion of mid-70's rock n' roll. Prep, on the other hand, has its roots in the structure and order of a private school. Etiquette and tradition, all wrapped in a sheen of formal sophistication that excludes in an outwardly polite, but deeply aggressive and punishing sort of way.
The two styles don't blend, and Chastity is a woman fractured between both worlds. The end result pairs Burberry plaid skirts with studded black Dr. Martens’ ankle boots. Vintage leather jackets with button down tops from Tory Burch. Cheap black nail polish with a pearl lock bracelett from Tiffany's. Even Chastity's hair flows between two worlds, a duel side shave, but with the top pulled back in a sophisticated and delicately curled ponytail.
These styles, while never blending, also never clash. They create the image of a woman deeply intellectual, bold enough to break free from the groupthink heard of white wine day drinkers, navigating life with the soul of an artist and persistent and defiant scream of a fighter.
